San Clemente residents will gather in the North Beach neighborhood this Friday night as the 35th annual Taste of San Clemente returns to the city's historic Casino, featuring an evening of regional food, drinks, and entertainment hosted by the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce, as Patch reported.
The long-running community celebration runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Casino San Clemente, located at 140 W. Avenida Pico. Organizers designed the annual event to highlight the local culinary scene by bringing together area restaurants, craft breweries, wineries, and beverage vendors under one roof. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample food items alongside wine, craft beer, and cocktail offerings while connecting with business owners from across the South Orange County community.
Entertainment for the four-hour gathering includes live music and dancing provided by Wigs and Ties, a cover band based in Orange County. Guests will also have access to a silent auction held during the evening, and each ticket holder will receive a complimentary commemorative event glass upon entry.
The backdrop for the annual festivities, Casino San Clemente, dates back to 1937. Originally constructed as a social hall and dance venue, the landmark building continues to serve as a public and private gathering space for special events in San Clemente.
Organizers set regular admission tickets at $210 per person, plus applicable transaction fees, available strictly through advance purchase. According to event organizers, tickets for this year's event are completely sold out, and no tickets will be sold at the door. All ticket purchases for the gathering are nonrefundable. Residents who were unable to secure tickets in advance can request a spot on an official waitlist by emailing the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce at [email protected].
The event is strictly restricted to guests ages 21 and older. Organizers have established a specific dress code for the evening, requesting that attendees arrive in "San Clemente cocktail" attire. The chamber explicitly noted that denim, shorts, and sneakers will not be permitted inside the venue.
To assist attendees, a coat check service will be provided on site through the San Clemente Woman's Club alongside The Bargain Box Thrift Store, which is operated by the Assistance League of Capistrano Valley. Both charitable organizations welcome donations from event participants throughout the night.
For vehicle parking, paid spaces will be available directly across the street from Casino San Clemente in the North Beach city parking lot. The city parking rate is set at $1.50 per hour. Because wine, beer, and cocktails will be served throughout the venue, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce encourages all guests to arrange safe transportation in advance or utilize rideshare services when traveling to and from the North Beach property.
